Sewer Repair & Replacement in Beverly Hills

Mr. Pipe Plumbing does sewer repair and replacement in Beverly Hills for homeowners, HOAs and property managers. For an HOA building, we explain which sections need work and by which method, and the estimate goes to whoever the board has authorized. Lining, pipe bursting and excavation are each matched to the condition of the section they would address.

Digging one stretch and lining the next

Sewer repairs for one 24‑unit HOA building in Beverly Hills combined root removal, excavation along a 10‑foot section and 40 feet of lining. Different parts of a building's line can call for different methods, and on an HOA property the board or manager approves the plan.

Five‑plus‑unit buildings hold about 52% of homes in the City of Beverly Hills, and 20‑plus‑unit buildings about 16%, in the U.S. Census Bureau's 2024 survey. In those buildings, we plan the work with the HOA or the manager and coordinate access to the units through them.

About 79% of the city's homes date from before 1980 in the same 2024 Census survey. On a building that age, the line's history matters: earlier cleanings, past repairs and where backups have shown up. We ask the HOA or manager for that history before anything is opened.

Sewer work for an HOA or a managed building

On a building with several units, one line can carry waste from many households, so the work is planned with the manager or board from the start. We ask what has already been done to the line, where backups have shown up and which units reported them.

Then each stretch is judged on its own. A damaged section that cannot be lined may need digging, while a stretch whose pipe can still host a liner may be lined; one HOA repair of ours used both. We work out access with the manager and keep the board's contact up to date. On that job, the line was tested after the repairs.

Trenchless work is not our default and it is not available on every line. Where it is an option, we say so. Where the condition of the pipe or the access rules it out, we explain why and what the alternative involves.

A few useful answers

Do you have to replace the whole sewer line, or can you fix part of it?

Part of it, when the damage is local and the pipe either side can stay in service. A repair like that covers its own section and nothing beyond it. If roots, cracks or low spots turn up at several points along the run, we set out replacing the line alongside the section repair, with what each would involve.

Do tree roots damage sewer pipes?

They do. Roots find joints and small cracks, get in, and widen the opening as they thicken. Removing them clears the pipe for a time, but the opening stays, so they can grow back at the same spot. Where root damage repeats along a line, lining or replacing the affected stretches comes into the discussion, and the pipe and the access decide which.

What does it mean when our building's sewer backs up again right after cleaning?

A backup that returns right after cleaning usually points at the pipe itself. Cleaning removes the blockage. If roots are getting back in through opened joints, a stretch has sagged, or the inside has roughened and narrowed, the next blockage forms in the same place. For a shared building line, we assess the accessible sections and set out the repair options for the board or the owner.

Know what happens next

  1. Discuss and assess

Our goal is to identify the cause of the problem and recommend an appropriate repair based on the plumbing condition, accessibility, and scope of work.

  2. Findings and estimate

We assess the issue, explain our findings, and provide an estimate before any approved work begins.

  3. Work completed and confirmed

After approved work is completed, we test the repaired or installed plumbing where applicable, explain the completed work, and provide the customer or authorized contact with the appropriate service documentation.

Pricing depends on the plumbing condition, accessibility, materials, and actual scope of work. If additional work is discovered, it will be explained and approved before proceeding.
