Sewer Camera Inspection in Beverly Hills
For an older Beverly Hills house or apartment building, Mr. Pipe Plumbing can run a sewer camera inspection when nobody can say what condition the line is in. U.S. Census Bureau figures for 2024 put more than half the city's homes before 1960. We look at whatever sections the camera can reach and talk through the findings before any work is planned.

In Beverly Hills
More homes from before 1940 than from any decade since
Census Bureau data for 2024 sorts the City of Beverly Hills' homes by when they were built, and the biggest group is the oldest: homes from before 1940. That 2024 Census data also has about 53% predating 1960, about 79% predating 1980, and only about 7% from 2000 or later.
The same 2024 Census data puts about 52% of homes in apartment and condo buildings of five units or more, and about 59% of occupied homes are rented. In those buildings, the owner or manager arranges an inspection, which may follow a tenant's report of backups or slow drains.
We explain the limits as clearly as the findings: the camera evaluates only the sections it can reach, and a section without access, or one that needs cleaning first, stays partly unknown until that changes.

Older houses and apartment buildings
In a house, we start with where the backup shows up and what has been done about it. In an apartment building, the manager tells us which units are having trouble and which access points we may use, and the access we get settles which stretch of the line the camera sees. Where buildup is heavy, cleaning may have to come first. Then we explain what the camera showed and what it points to: cleaning or hydro jetting may come next for buildup, while damage leads to a discussion of repair or replacement options for that line. Older lines get the same plain account as newer ones, and that account names any section the camera could not reach.
When a sewer camera inspection is appropriate, we use specialized equipment to help evaluate accessible sections of a drain or sewer line and explain the findings.
Camera access and visibility depend on the condition of the line, available access points, and whether cleaning is required before inspection.
My Beverly Hills house was built before 1940 and drains fine. Should its sewer line be inspected?
An inspection is a reasonable step when nobody can say what condition the line is in, especially before a sale or a change of owner. On an old line, the camera looks at the reachable sections for roots, buildup, breaks, separated joints, low spots and offsets. With a known history and no change in how the house drains, it can wait.
How much time should I set aside for a sewer scope?
We can't give a set length in advance, because it turns on conditions we see on site: how many access points there are, how much of the line they reach, and whether buildup has to be cleared before the camera can see. In an apartment building, getting to those access points is part of it. Tell us what is happening when you call and we can plan around it.
Is a camera inspection worth it on an old line that has been cleaned before?
Yes, if the cleaning didn't explain the problem or the problem keeps coming back. A camera lets us evaluate what is happening in the reachable sections: buildup that hydro jetting may handle, or damage that changes the repair options. Some camera visits are a paid assessment, and you will know that before we begin.

Discuss and assess
Our goal is to identify the cause of the problem and recommend an appropriate repair based on the plumbing condition, accessibility, and scope of work.
Findings and estimate
We assess the issue, explain our findings, and provide an estimate before any approved work begins.
Work completed and confirmed
After approved work is completed, we test the repaired or installed plumbing where applicable, explain the completed work, and provide the customer or authorized contact with the appropriate service documentation.
Pricing depends on the plumbing condition, accessibility, materials, and actual scope of work. If additional work is discovered, it will be explained and approved before proceeding.
